This project aims to improve gender-responsive climate smart agriculture and food systems in the Caribbean. It recognizes the disproportionate impact of food price inflation, supply chain disruptions and climate change on the region. This project supports women and vulnerable groups in achieving food security and enhancing resilience to climate change. Project activities include: (1) designing and sharing knowledge products to facilitate the adoption of gender-responsive climate smart technologies, innovations, and practices; (2) enhancing production facilities to improve operations, climate resilience, quality, and reduce harvest loss and waste; and (3) developing and implementing gender-responsive decision-support tools for multi-hazard risk management. |
