Sustainable anchoring of professional and high-quality mobile care and support as well as gender-sensitive offers for “healthy aging” in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Georgia.
The service providers ("Houses of Support") in both countries have the organizational and technical requirements as well as qualified workers to offer quality-oriented mobile care; Mobile care services for socially disadvantaged people are financed by the social systems of both countries; Gender- and culturally-sensitive offerings for healthy aging are recognized and promoted by governmental and non-governmental actors in both countries as relevant support services to enable older people to lead a healthy, active and self-determined life; The needs and rights of older people are more visible on the public/institutional agenda and in the public eye.
Target group / Beneficiaries
Overall, in both countries the program reaches at least: 160 older people (at least 60% female) served by mobile services (focus on socially vulnerable older people), 150 people who benefit from gender-specific activities for healthy aging (min. 45 % of the opposite gender); 90 nursing staff (current employees of the Houses of Support and newly trained staff; at least 5% male), 20 employees of the Centers for Healthy Aging (at least 5% male), 180 employees of regional/cantonal/local authorities as well Staff from the local health and social system (rural doctors/nurses/social workers), 50 NGOs working on issues affecting older people. |
