The “Project to Support Technical Training and Employability in Rwanda” (AFTER II) has the overall objective of improving technical and professional training and learning conditions in order to strengthen the capacities of the youth required in the labor market.
AFTER II was born following a feasibility study which made it possible to capitalize and draw conclusions on the approach and results obtained from the AFTER I project.
The project is structured around four components:
improving and increasing capacity in four establishments (Integrated Polytechnic Regional College of Karongo – Integrated Polytechnic Regional College (IPRC) Karongi, Muhororo Vocational Training School, IPRC of Kitabi and Cyanika Vocational Training School);
the modernization and creation of training courses;
developing links with the private sector and graduate entrepreneurship; And
capacity building of Rwanda Polytechnic and the Rwanda Vocational Training and Technical Education Board (Rwanda TVET Board).
AFTER II will benefit the Republic of Rwanda and more particularly the four establishments mentioned above.
The project is developed over four years and implemented by the French Development Agency (AFD). The contribution from Luxembourg Cooperation, made available to the AFD through LuxDev, is 6 MEUR. |
