The project led by the NGO Action Mopti has two objectives: to improve the living conditions of the populations of the regions of Mopti, Douentza, Bandiagara, Koulikoro, Ségou in Mali, and to strengthen the civic education of the Yvelinois in France for a sustainable solidarity development. .
DESCRIPTION
The local development support program (PADD) continues in the context of the current crisis in Mali, where decentralization is being put to the test. Phase 2 of the project is based on the socio-economic and cultural programs of the 21 municipalities concerned, spread over five regions. The crisis has weakened the governance of communities, aggravating the lack of mobilization of resources for health, education, hydraulics, sanitation, culture. The Covid-19 pandemic has further accentuated the phenomenon.
This program aims to structurally strengthen the governance of elected officials, the capacities of leaders, women and young people in civil society, to promote their involvement in development and local governance. The sectors of activity targeted are as follows: decentralization, governance of municipalities; awareness, training, prevention of populations in public health; support for formal and informal education; hygiene promotion, sanitation; youth entrepreneurship; conflict prevention and promotion of peace and reconciliation.

Action Mopti , created in 1986, is an NGO supporting sustainable local development. The programs implemented aimed at improving the living conditions of the populations of the regions of Mopti, Douentza, Bandiagara, Koulikoro, and Ségou are carried out by a Malian team of around fifty people. The head office of the NGO is located in Maurepas, in Yvelines (France). A board of directors is responsible for strategic orientation, the search for additional subsidies and the technical monitoring of the programs implemented.

Strengthening the economic capacities of women (210 women, 42 income-generating activities)
Improvement of basic social services: education, culture, health, water/hygiene/sanitation
