With the first component, the project will invest in the diversification of sources of subsistence, involving the communities that have already started the transition to agro-pastoralism. With the second component, the sustainability of the beneficiaries traditional livelihoods (in particular livestock farming) will be increased through the introduction of an integrated model of natural resource management. The third component will aim to remove political / institutional obstacles to the rural development of the target communities by promoting a constructive dialogue between beneficiaries and their associations on the one hand and representatives of local authorities at the county and, to a lesser extent, national level.
