Project Name VET Toolbox 2: Enhanced Delivery of Demand-driven Skills Development for Investment in Africa
Project Detail This project aims to meet the human capital needs of investment, value chain and supply chain development programs in selected countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Its specific objective is to improve demand-driven skills development and TVET services so that they are able to meet the investment needs of selected countries in sub-Saharan Africa. To this end, it intends to implement targeted skills development and vocational training programs. While it contributes to improving the investment climate in some African countries, it is above all an action focused on opportunities, aimed at transforming investment into a lever for inclusive economic growth, social development and decent job creation. Investment flows from the European Union to African countries provide national economies with the means to increase their added value and increase their contribution to job creation at the local level. The implementation of the action will revolve around three areas of intervention. The first will aim to advance the dialogue on skills development and employment-oriented TVET between vocational training establishments, companies, national institutions and relevant associations benefiting from European investments, such as vocational training programs.
