Project goals :
1. Women in ethnic minority regions to raise awareness about the elections and their participation in elections is encouraged;
2. young voters education campaign to increase their involvement in the elections (especially in the regions);
3. local public officials to raise awareness of the period covered by the legislation and the regulations of their duties;
4. Local civilian institutional strengthening of an organization.
Project activities:
• meetings with representative of ethnic minority women in Javakheti, Kvemo Kartli and Kakheti regions;
• Seminars of university cities (Akhaltsikhe, Batumi, Gori, Zugdidi, Telavi, Kutaisi) students for the elections and civil activism;
• meetings with local authorities in all municipalities in the pre-election period for public officials to introduce legislation under the regulations;
• public discussion about the involvement of people with disabilities in the elections and the relevant departments for recommendations;
• Training of trainers;
• issues of election campaign on TV advertisement, printed materials, including minority languages;
• Local governments for the development of a guide;
• Project a photo exhibition. |
