With the presence of the Truckers Union, the Municipality of Río Grande this Wednesday opened envelopes for the Urban Waste Collection (MSW) service, within the framework of the public tender that began at the end of 2023 and contemplates street sweeping and other urban hygiene services in the city.
The company “Bodegas y Viñedos Santa Elena”, provider of the service since January 2018, presented the only offer in the tender. The new document, which has the approval of the Deliberative Council, proposes modifications such as differentiated and door-to-door collection in productive farms, thus responding to a need raised by producers.
Río Grande.- The Municipality of Río Grande carries out the public bidding for the urban solid waste collection service. It began at the end of 2023 and includes street sweeping and other urban hygiene services in the city. The company “Bodegas y Viñedos Santa Elena”, provider of the service since January 2018, presented the only offer in the tender.
The new document, which has the approval of the Deliberative Council, proposes modifications such as differentiated and door-to-door collection in productive farms, thus responding to a need raised by producers.
Likewise, it establishes that the service concession will be extended for the next 10 years and provides for differentiated collection in the event that industrial facilities are achieved for the processing of household waste.
The Santa Elena company presented itself as the only bidder in the tender. The procedure continues with the analysis of the documentation presented; preparation of report and pre-award.
It is highlighted that the Opening of Envelopes was attended by workers from said service, grouped in the Truck Drivers Union. |
