Expression of Interest for Supply of an X-Ray Tube for the HKED-2 Instrument of the LSS-La Hague. The primary analytical method for the analysis of around 500 samples per year in the LSS La Hague in the reprocessing plant of Orano is HKED. This method is entirely based on an X-ray tube of fixed dimensions and characteristics installed within the lead shielding of a hot cell. An X-ray tube has a limited life span (10000 hours or between 5 to 10 years). The tube of HKED2 has reached this limit (is broken) and needs to be replaced to continue to use the instrument for these mandatory nuclear safeguards analyses.
