Brief Profile Of The Client The Euregio-Klinik In Nordhorn, Created From The Grafschafter Klinikum And The Marienklinikum, Has Established Itself As One Of The Leading Medical Centers In The German-Dutch Euregio Region And, With Around 1,500 Employees, Is One Of The Largest Employers In The Region. In 11 Main Departments And 4 Affiliated Departments With More Than 500 Beds As Well As The Medical Care Centers (Mvz), Almost 20,000 Inpatients And More Than 50,000 Outpatients Are Cared For Every Year. State-Of-The-Art Medical Technology, A High Level Of Medical And Nursing Expertise On The Part Of Our Employees And People-Oriented Care Are The Cornerstones Of Our Work. The Euregio-Klinik Operates Two Hospitals On The Campus At Albert-Schweitzer-Straße 10 In Several Building Complexes, Some Of Which Are Directly Connected To One Another. All Parts Of The Building Are Connected To Each Other Via A Homogeneous Network Infrastructure. In Addition, Other Practices And A Day Clinic Are Operated At Various Locations, Which Are Also Connected Via Network To The Central It Infrastructure. The Network Infrastructure Includes Around 50 Switches From Hpe/Aruba (Hpe5406zl, Hpe5406zl2, Hp2530, Aruba6200m, Hpe8212zl) With Around 250 Servers (Largely Virtualized Under Vmware Esxi 7.0.3) And Around 1,000 Fat And Thin Clients. 2. Subject Of The Order And Scope The Euregio-Klinik Is Re-Evaluating The Security Systems Of The It Infrastructure As Part Of The Introduction Of An Information Security Management System And Taking Into Account The Requirements And Possibilities Of The Hospital Future Fund. The Changing Conditions In The Digitalized Hospital Require It Security To Be Constantly Adapted To The Increasing Challenges. The Companys Own Human Resources Are Not Sufficient, Both In Terms Of Quantity And Quality, For 24X7 Monitoring Of The Systems Used. From The Euregio-Kliniks Perspective, An Essential Component For Significantly Improving It Security Is The Connection To An External Security Operation Center (Soc) With The Corresponding Introduction Of Systems For Vulnerability And Attack Detection And Avoidance. The Telemetry Data Should Be Transmitted Via A Soc The Endpoints Are Permanently Collected, Analyzed And Evaluated. The Activities In The Network, Events And Resource Access Should Be Transparent. All Security-Relevant Systems In The Euregio-Klinik Company Networks (Servers, Workstation Systems, Internet Services, Etc.) Should Be Integrated, Monitored And Analyzed.
