Tenders are invited for Data Collection Services for Research Project: "Understanding Solutions to Promote Healthy Aging and Reduce Multimorbidity in Rwanda". The University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) invites qualified and experienced individuals to submit their CVs for the provision of Data Collection Services for a research project entitled "Understanding solutions to promote healthy aging and reduce multimorbidity in Rwanda.", funded by the Institute for Global Health, Global Innovation Challenge Award, Northwestern University, USA. The project is a collaboration between the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE), Northwestern University, University of Birmingham, and the Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC). The focus of the project is to collect quantitative and qualitative data to provide evidence to design novel interventions to maintain healthy aging and inform policy and planning. Scope of services: Interviewing participants in Burera district and /or Kigali city to obtain required information, Entering data into computer databases or spreadsheets, or tablets, Collecting data on demographics and other characteristics of the population being studied, Measuring participants blood pressure, glucose, waist circumference, cholesterol, body mass Index, grip strength and balance, etc. Collect data, manage, monitor, clean, and ensure the quality of data obtained, Translating research tools and transcribing research interviews, And other research duties and activities, as assigned by the supervisor. Outputs or expected results and reports: Providing daily updates on how data collection activity went on the field and reporting to the supervisor. Providing accurate and high-quality data Maintaining a good reputation of the institution in the community Collecting data as per research ethics Team Composition: Education:Data collectors will need a bachelors degree in health and health related fields; social sciences; nutrition; and other related fields; additional certificates in data collection are a plus. Having training and experience in household data collection on the process and procedures of the role will be an added advantage. Familiarity with the use of different data collection devices and software is a plus. Data collectors should have the following additional skills: Attention to detail, Organization, Communication, Computer skills/electronic devices, Conducting qualitative interviews including in-depth interviews Qualitative data analysisand interpretation, Scholarly writing skills Critical thinking Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English Team: Each team of 5 enumerators will be assigned a leader who will help the supervisor to coordinate the data collection activities on the field. Duration of Contract or Service This is the data collection service with an allotted time frame for the data collection activities of 2.5 months. The expected commencement of the assignment is in the middle of February 2024 and expected completion of the assignment is in early May 2024. Services, Personnel, and Facilities to be Provided by UGHE: UGHE will provide local transport to data collection sites. Data collectors are responsible for their accommodation and meals. The client will supply necessary materials, including tablets, glucometers, blood pressure monitors, waist tapes, etc. Damage or loss of these devices outside working hours will be the responsibility of the data collectors involved.
