Prior Information Notice For Public Transport Services By Railways – Service Contract - Concession Of The Railway Service On The Alessandria-Ovada Railway Line. 1. Information On The Line And Previous Service The Alessandria–Ovada Railway Line Is 33.5 Km Long, Single-Track And Entirely Electrified. At Ovada It Connects With The Acqui–Ovada–Genoa Line. The Line Is Currently Used For Freight Traffic, While The Regional Passenger Rail Service Has Been Suspended Since 2012. 2. Requested Service 2.1 Operation Program The Requested Rail Service (Basic Service) Must Be Organized According To A Two-Hourly System On Weekdays And Must Include As A Minimum Scenario: - 10 Trains Per Day From Monday To Friday; 8 Trains A Day On Saturdays; - Carrying Out The Service During The School Period; - Indicative Total Production Equal To Approximately 78,000 Train-Km Per Year; - Maximum Simultaneous Use Of A Train, With Shuttle Operation Between Alessandria And Ovada. Interested Economic Operators Can Indicate Evolutionary Proposals For The Operational Program (Evolutionary Service) Which May, Among Other Things, Concern, With The Same Production Factors, The Increase In Production Understood As: - Extension Of Service Days (Inclusion Of Holiday Services, Creation Of A Non-Scholastic Service); - Increase In The Number Of Trips Per Day (Increase In Frequency / Completion Of Cadence). The Operating Model Must Guarantee, At The Alessandria Station, Adequate Connections With Fast Regional Trains To And From Milan. Alternatively, Connections With The Fast Regional Trains Of The Turin–Genoa Connection May Be Considered. Particular Attention Must Be Paid To The Time Slots Of Interest To School Users, Guaranteeing Arrival Times Useful For Entering School And Return Times Consistent With The End Of Lessons. The Service Must Be Carried Out With Railway Rolling Stock Suitable For The Technical Characteristics Of The Line, Authorized For Circulation And Compliant With Current Legislation. The Definitive Operating Model Will Be Defined As Part Of The Award Procedure, Respecting The Capacity Of The Infrastructure And The Conditions Established By The Railway Infrastructure Manager. The Concession And The Related Service Contract Will Have An Expected Duration Of 72 Months, Equal To 6 Years. The Contract Provides For Service Obligations Similar To Those Of The Other Contracts For The Piedmontese Railways In Force, In Particular It Provides For The Adoption Of The Piedmontese Tariff System And Electronic Ticketing System And The Commitment To Adhere To Regional Policies On Pricing And Integration. The Start Of The Service Is Indicatively Scheduled For November 2027, Subject To The Conclusion Of The Procedure, The Availability Of The Paths And The Completion Of The Obligations Necessary For Operation.
