Tenders are invited for TVET Trainers for Competency-Based Vocational Training in Social Development Centers (SDCs). Closing Date: Tuesday, 22. Sep 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Training & Capacity Building Remuneration range: < 1000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 3 MONTHS AVSI seeks qualified trainers to deliver short-term vocational training using approved competency-based curricula. Training must prioritize practical application, supervised exercises, demonstration of skills, continuous assessment, remediation and employability. Applicants may apply for one or more training topics and locations. # Training topic Hours SDC LOCATION(S) Essential scope 1 Food Processing and Home-based Food Production 40 Jezzine; Lebaa; Saida; Haret Saida; Rmeish; Chebaa; Hasbaya Food hygiene and safe handling; preparation and preservation; storage, packaging and labelling; quality control; costing, pricing and customer communication. 2 Sewing and Tailoring 70 Kleyaa Safe use of machines and tools; fabrics and measurement; cutting, stitching and finishing; repairs and alterations; simple products; material estimation, costing and client communication. 3 Basic Electrical Work and Solar Energy Systems Maintenance 80 Haret Saida; Rmeish Electrical safety and PPE; basic household wiring and low-risk repairs under supervision; solar components; preventive maintenance and referral of specialized/high-risk faults. 4 Home-based and Urban Agriculture 40 Jezzine Space and crop selection; soil and growing media; seedlings and transplanting; container, rooftop and vertical cultivation; irrigation, composting, pest prevention, harvesting and basic cost/income estimates. 5 Handicrafts and Recycling 40 Lebaa; Saida; Chebaa Product design; safe use of low-cost/recyclable materials and tools; production, finishing and quality improvement; costing, pricing, presentation and environmental responsibility. 6 Basic Digital Skills and Freelancing 45 Hasbaya Computer and smartphone use; files, email, internet and online forms; office applications; CVs and online applications; communication tools, digital safety and entry-level freelancing. 8 General Home Maintenance and Repair, including Plumbing 80 Kleyaa Safe tool use; household repairs; leak detection, unclogging, fittings, taps and simple pipe maintenance; preventive maintenance, cost estimation and referral.
