Tenders are invited for Dikken Development and Outreach Consultant. Closing Date: Tuesday, 04. Aug 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Development Remuneration range: < 1000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 5 months renewable subject to funding and performance Background Dikken el Mazraa is an experimental social grocery promoting sustainable local production, solidarity economies, and equitable access to ethical food and household products. Beyond functioning as a point of sale, Dikken serves as a community space connecting local producers, consumers, community kitchens, and grassroots initiatives while promoting food sovereignty and local economic resilience. Mada has been supporting Dikken since its establishment in 2020. This consultancy is established under the Kvinna till Kvinna-funded project Women-Led Community Food Systems and Solidarity Economies, implemented by Mada Association in cooperation with Dikken el Mazraa. The project aims to strengthen women-led sustainable local economies by supporting women producers, community kitchens, and alternative commercialization channels while fostering stronger linkages between producers, consumers, and community initiatives. Dikken el Mazraa is at the heart of the project, serving as the projects main commercialization and community engagement hub. Scope of Work 1. Operations Management Ensure Dikkens operations effectively support the commercialization of products from women producers participating in the Kvinna till Kvinna project. Analyze operational workflows of Dikken el Mazraa and propose practical improvements to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency. Review Standard Operating Procedures, purchasing process, stock management, pricing, and merchandising practices. Develop practical tools and systems that improve day-to-day operations (inventory management, purchasing, accounting follow-up, and routine operational processes). Coordinate outreach and follow-up with participating women producers. Overview the organization and content of mentoring sessions between advanced and emerging producers. Build partnerships and support collaboration between producers, community kitchens, and local initiatives. Organize project events, exchange visits, and promotional activities. Identify and recruit potential consultants when and if needed 2. Product Development and Commercialization Lead the identification, outreach, onboarding, and follow-up of the 15 women producers supported under the project (5 advanced producers and 10 emerging) Support participating producers in accessing Dikken as a sustainable commercialization channel and monitor product performance and sales. Recruit and onboard new sustainable local producers where relevant. Identify products and services responding to community demand and opportunities to diversify Dikkens portfolio Improve marketing, product visibility in-store and on social media, and commercialization. 3. Community Outreach and Engagement Coordinate the organization of cooking classes, brunches, community dinners, tasting events, fundraising activities, and local markets involving women producers and community kitchens that are project-funded and others hosted at Dikken. Support the communication, visibility, and promotion of project beneficiaries through Dikkens networks and communication channels. Strengthen relationships with Dikken members, customers, producers, and community partners. Develop and implement outreach strategies to expand Dikkens customer and membership base. 4. Volunteer Coordination Mobilize volunteers to support project events, outreach activities, and community engagement initiatives where appropriate. Develop simple volunteer management tools and schedules. Strengthening volunteer engagement and retention. 5. Learning and Continuous Improvement Maintain project records related to producer participation, events, commercialization activities, and outreach, contributing to project monitoring and reporting. Provide regular recommendations to improve both Dikkens long-term sustainability and the implementation of project activities. Coordinate the development of the projects digital marketplace/application, including follow-up with developers, testing, producer onboarding, content collection, and launch. Collect producer information, product descriptions, and visual content required for the application and communication materials. Collect feedback from producers, customers, volunteers, and partners including via Google Maps review Develop simple monitoring tools and recommend practical improvements to strengthen Dikkens sustainability and community impact. Required Qualifications University degree in business administration, social entrepreneurship, marketing, community development, food systems, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience. Experience in community-based enterprises, social businesses, cooperatives, or local economic development. Experience in outreach, marketing, community engagement, or business development. Strong organizational and coordination skills. Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on implementation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Fluency in Arabic and English (French is an asset). Reporting The consultant will be contracted by Mada, and seconded at Dikken el Mazraa, and therefore report to the Dikken Director.
