SPECIDICATION SCOPE OF SPECIFICATIONS The bidder is to supply and deliver 1000L Mobile Water Tank Trailer; the primary function of the tank is to store water. Trailer ",,The trailer must be 2.2m Long trailer, 1.3m wide single axle. ",,The trailer shall be constructed of a single 1600kg braked axle, 2000kg coupler, 48mm jockey wheel and 8 blade leaf springs. ",,The Chassis, A-Frame, suspension, wheels, brakes, jockey wheel shall accommodate the maximum GVM of the trailer. ",,The Chassis and A-Frame shall be constructed of galvanised mild steel with a minimum channel size 76mm x 38mm. ",,Wheels and Rims shall be 195 x 14", with the tyres manufactured in South Africa. ",,Spare wheel must be included, and it must be securely mounted on the trailer. ",,A standard 7 pin connector must be installed. ",,All lights(12v), cables, reflectors, reflector tape, wheel axles etc. must be in accordance with the SABS and road safety regulations. ",,Yellow tape all round with reflectors/triangles and clearly stating water. ",,Registration documents MUST be issued with the trailer. ",,Full specification & technical drawings to be submitted with offer. Water tank ",,The tank must be manufactured and offered from a polyethylene plastic. ",,A 1000L horizontal water tank to be fitted directly onto the trailer with galvanised steel straps and brackets to keep it in place. (Please see addendum A&B below). ",,The tanks mounting shall be so designed to eliminate any vehicle chassis flex being transmitted to the tank. Preferably rubber block type to allow for movement when negotiating rough terrains. ",,The tank shall be self-contained with 5.5HP water pump suitable for water, complete with digital flowmeter. ",,Tank shall have a level indicator that shows the litre capacity available in the tank. ",,A low level cut out device must be installed; the function of the device is to disengage the pump when the water in the tank reaches 20 litres and automatically resets itself when the tank is filled. ",,Sufficient baffle balls shall be supplied with the tank. ",,The purpose of the baffle balls is to prevent or reduce irregular movement of the liquid during transportation. APPLICABLE STANDARDS (or latest version thereof) ",,PIESA 1102:2004: Corrosion protection of fabricated equipment. ",,South African Road Traffic Act (Act 93 of 1996) and related road ordinances.
