| Project Detail | Project Name ADB Wayfinder (Pacific) Program Project Number 59142-001 Country / Economy Regional Cook Islands Fiji Micronesia, Federated States of Kiribati Nauru Niue Palau Papua New Guinea Marshall Islands Samoa Solomon Islands Tonga Tuvalu Vanuatu The ADB Wayfinder (Pacific) Program will support nonsovereign operations and sustainable private sector development in the Pacific. It will help to support fragile and conflict-affected situations (FCAS) and small island developing states (SIDS) approach of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to improve the effectiveness of ADBs nonsovereign assistance and the development outcomes of developing member countries in Pacific FCAS and SIDS countries. Status of Development Objectives The Wayfinder program will complement existing initiatives focusing on increasing ADBs direct support for private financing in the Pacific. It will support ADBs commitment to have special regard to the needs of the smaller or less developed member countries in the region while adhering to ADBs operating principles under the Agreement Establishing the Asian Development Bank (the Charter). |
