The general objective of development is to help mitigate the impact that a severe or catastrophic natural disaster could have on the countrys public finances. The specific objective of development is to improve the financial management of natural disasters by increasing stable, cost-efficient, and rapidly accessible contingent financing to cover extraordinary public expenses aimed at assisting the population affected by natural disasters. This financing will support government actions in response to the flood emergency in the City of Bahía Blanca and surrounding areas affected by one of the most extreme climate events in the region. |
