The Special Relief Fund grant from the Bank Group, totaling 584,000 USD, will contribute to the Response Plan. It will facilitate the priority and urgent activities selected for the provinces of Mayo Kebbi Est and Ouest. Project Objectives The overall objective of this intervention is to rebuild the productive capital of households by promoting “emergency agriculture”, in particular by ensuring animal health, the rebuilding of livestock and the distribution of inputs and small agricultural implements to households affected by the floods. This intervention will help rebuild the socio-economic resilience of agro-pastoral households and strengthen the food production capacities of vulnerable households affected by rain and river flooding. The aim is to provide a direct and immediate response to the health emergency, in order to support the efforts of the Congolese government and its partners. |
