Project No. HRDWG_05_2025S Project Title Advancing Human-centered Artificial Intelligence (AI) Workplace: Transparency and Welfare Project Status Project in Implementation This project aims to explore measures for advancing transparency while utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) at work, so as to enhance worker welfare. Specifically, this project will explore: (1) how economies can ensure workers will benefit from the adoption of AI in the workplace to increase their productivity; (2) measures for promoting transparency and improving worker welfare in response to AI adoption; and (3) best practices of member economies. By aligning with these topics, this project will hold a workshop in October 2025. Deliverables of this project are expected to inspire member economies with human-centered approaches to enhance transparency of AI and advance welfare for the workforce, contributing to realize key action areas of the APEC HRDWG LSPN Action Plan (2025-2026) and the Joint Statement of the 7th Human Resources Development Ministerial Meeting, as well as inclusive human resources development outlined in the Aotearoa Plan of Action. |
