Support to the National Agenda for Sustainable Urban Development in Brazil The ANDUS Project was created to support the Brazilian government in improving policies for sustainable urban development in Brazil. The Paris Agreement on climate change, the 2030 Agenda and the New Urban Agenda are the beacons that guide this improvement of the urban agenda. In order to achieve greater equity and address the transformation processes, it is necessary to give urban development practices a new orientation. This includes addressing challenges by taking advantage of the potentials provided by territorial diversity and taking into consideration the three pillars of sustainability – social, environmental and economic. |
