The overall objective of the Sustainable and Inclusive Growth in Kosovo project is to contribute to sustainable economic growth, supporting innovation, inclusion and social development in a greener Kosovo. The specific objective of the project is to encourage innovation as well as local and foreign investments in a secure and transparent e-environment. The first part of the project focuses on the creation of the Sovereign Wealth Fund of the Republic of Kosovo, which promises to improve government finances and attract foreign investment, thus leading to economic growth. The second component will improve Kosovos cybersecurity capabilities. Given the growing need to strengthen cyber infrastructure and capabilities, this component, implemented by the Ministry of Interior, aims to strengthen Kosovos resilience to cyber threats. The third component concerns stimulating innovation in the private sector. The objective is to increase the added value of products and services and overcome export barriers, thereby leading to economic growth. It is implemented by the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade. The fourth component involves supporting the Parliament in its digitalization efforts by replacing its non-functional electronic voting system. The aim is to improve the transparency of voting and the accountability of public information services, and to remove a specific obstacle to integration into the European Union. This component is being implemented by the Parliament of Kosovo. |
