Project No. SCSC_07_2025S Project Title APEC AI Standards Conference: Building a Sustainable AI Ecosystem Tomorrow Project Status Project in Implementation Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing industries around the world, and with the accelerating development of the technology, standards to ensure interoperability are becoming increasingly important. This industry-driven project will convene AI technology companies, industry leaders, and SMEs to address these challenges. It aims to increase collaboration, reduce duplication, and enhance interoperability in the development of AI standards to promote the trade of services and products using AI in the APEC region through the exchange of knowledge and best practices among stakeholders in AI standardization. At the APEC AI Standards Conference in August 2025, industry-led discussions, technical workshops, and policy dialogues will facilitate the sharing of best practices and experiences related to AI standardization, regulation, and conformity assessment. This initiative seeks to reduce regulatory complexity for businesses, facilitate trade, and ensure transparency in the digital economy, fostering sustainable economic growth. |
