Project No. IPEG_02_2025S Project Title Workshop on Copyright Protection and Enforcement Against Illicit Streaming Project Status Project in Implementation The United States will organize and host: a virtual webinar and an in-person workshop on copyright protection and enforcement against piracy and illicit streaming under domestic laws or regulations, including with respect to illicit streaming devices (ISDs). Such programs will inform future IPEG work, including effective practices for or building capacity of relevant officials. The virtual workshop will be held in or around June 2025, and will have speakers discuss their domestic legal frameworks and identify effective approaches and strategies that law enforcement and regulatory agencies could take against illicit streaming. The in-person workshop will be held on 6 August 2025, and speakers will discuss effective approaches and strategies that right holders, law enforcement, and regulatory agencies could take against illicit streaming. Enforcement against illicit streaming, including against ISDs, is both a timely and pressing concern for content creators, owners, right holders, and law enforcement. |
