The development objective of the First Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Governance, Transparency, and Economic Resilience Development Policy Financing for DRC is to support the Government of DRC in: (i) enhancing public sector efficiency and transparency; (ii) fostering an enabling private investment environment; and (iii) advancing structural reforms in the energy sector for quality service delivery. The operation is structured around three pillars: Pillar 1: improving efficiency and transparency in public administration and public finance management; Pillar 2: improving the business climate and promoting private investment; and Pillar 3: improving quality service delivery in renewable energy. This operation is aligned with the goals of the Paris Agreement. It is consistent with the country’s climate objectives and is based on the outcomes of the Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR) and other key climate analysis.The development objective is to support the Government of DRC in: (i) enhancing public sector efficiency and transparency; (ii) fostering an enabling private investment environment; and (iii) advancing structural reforms in the energy sector for quality service delivery. |
