The project involves the reconstruction of the Syctom household waste transfer and treatment center located in Romainville and Bobigny. Objectives The future facility will comprise four main components: a residual household waste reception and transfer unit, a sorting center for recyclable materials, a port facility on the banks of the Ourcq Canal, and a center of excellence in the circular economy. The new facility is expected to process 350,000 tons/year of residual waste, 60,000 tons/year of recyclable materials, and 40,000 tons/year of separately collected food waste. The project will incorporate strict environmental and architectural standards to minimize nuisances and improve the sites integration into the urban landscape.
