Sustainable Environments Around Water (ESA) contributes to progress in fulfilling national commitments within the framework of the SDGs, while strengthening the capacities of community organizations to conserve biodiversity and its ecosystem services, with a special emphasis on integrated territorial management for water resource conservation. This complements the proposals set forth in Colombias long-term Climate Strategy E2050 to comply with the Paris Agreement, which establishes the need to conserve ecosystems to guarantee the supply of ecosystem services, highlighting the importance of strengthening inclusive governance and considering NBS as the main option to help address current challenges related to climate change and water security.Sustainable Environments Around Water (ESA) contributes to progress in meeting national commitments under the SDGs, while strengthening the capacity of community organizations to promote biodiversity conservation. |
