This Additional Financing (AF) appraises addition of US$ 1.78 million to the IPF component of the Program to be implemented by a second new grant implementation unit at MOH which is responsible for DLI 1,2,3,5, 6 and 7 of the parent program. The proposed AF would help finance the expenditures associated with the same catalytic investments and original scope of the Program, and primarily helps meet the financing gap that has emerged with the increased need for technical assistance, capacity building and knowledge generation at the Ministry of Health. The financing will support MoH in (a) hiring a pool of consultants and specific technical experts to provide support in the implementation of the Program part under MoH’s purview; b) generating knowledge and policy briefs by MoH to inform future JKN reforms and ensure adequate implementation of the program, including lessons learned for other countries for continuous learning, (c) strengthening MoH’s monitoring and evaluation function to track progress in DLIs, learn and course-correct, and d) capacity building of relevant units at MoH. The program development objective is to strengthen the quality and efficiency of Indonesias National Health Insurance program. |
