Project Detail |
The projects objective is to reduce GHG emissions linked to irrigation practices, considering the currently underutilized natural flow of the La Cumaca River, powered by diesel fuel, in a vulnerable agricultural population located in El Cacao, Paracotos, Miranda State. It begins with the empowerment of community capacities for sustainable irrigation. Essential data on gender, age, and individuals with special and vulnerable conditions will be segmented. The project is expected to install a photovoltaic pumping system for sustainable irrigation and water storage, with community participation, associated with an inclusive and cyclical agroecological agriculture and micro-basin conservation plan as a business and livelihood model for the community that guarantees their food and diet based on grains, tubers, vegetables, and tropical fruits, considering equal participation.
