After registration of the Trust in September 2022 at the High Court, the Interim Committee was dissolved as per the Toutswe Mogala Community Conservation Trust constitution. A Board of Trustees was elected by the community on the 31st of July 2023. The new Board needs to be registered with the Master of the High Court to be granted ?Letters of Authority? as confirmation of their trusteeship. Some irregularities on the constitution have been identified by the Technical Advisory Committee and the Board. An Emergency General Meeting will be convened to amend the constitution with the community. The Trust intends using an attorney for the registration and effecting the amendments. Since the amendment is a time-consuming exercise requiring a whole day and working lunch, we will engage the services of the local Poverty alleviation Catering group to provide some form of lunch for that day.
