Project No. HWG_05_2025S Project Title APEC Enablers of Health Data Sharing Checklist Project Status Project in Implementation Health data sharing at the economy-level is essential for improving patient care, enabling research and innovation, reducing costs, and strengthening digital health systems. However, many APEC economies face barriers that limit the efficient use and exchange of data within their health systems. This project will develop an APEC Enablers of Health Data Sharing Checklist, which will outline key policies that facilitate responsible health data sharing within economies. Topics will include interoperability, cloud adoption, and data governance. The checklist will serve as a practical resource for policymakers, regulators, and others to align policies with best practices in support of digital health transformation. Insights will be gathered from experts across government, industry, and civil society to ensure the checklist is applicable across diverse health systems. The checklist will be disseminated through APEC channels to support capacity building efforts in the region. |
