According to the University of Alberta, the Biological Sciences Building at the University of Alberta will be transformed into a collaborative, high-service research and teaching space known as the Life Sciences Innovation and Future Technologies (LIFT) Centre. The LIFT Centre will be a hub for interdisciplinary teaching and research across the colleges and standalone faculties, bringing together STEM and life sciences researchers, faculty, students and industry leaders to foster collaboration and discovery. The Government of Alberta has contributed $100 million in capital funding for the project. |
