Project Name Preparation of the Sun Pacific Solar Expansion Project Project Number 58247-002 Country / Economy Samoa The proposed small-scale technical assistance (SSTA) aims to provide the necessary resources to prepare the SAM: Sun Pacific Solar Expansion Project for ADBs proposed financing. The SSTA will fund due diligence expenses required by ADB. Due to the small size of the transaction (project cost of $9.25 million), the transaction costs are disproportionately high and warrant the use of grant financing. High diligence costs are a common barrier to nonsovereign financing in the Pacific. The TA will cover costs for (i) due diligence for environmental and social safeguards (E&S), (ii) legal due diligence, and (iii) the lenders technical advisor (LTA). |
