Project Detail |
Sustainable Employment through Agribusiness (AgriBiz) Processing and marketing of agricultural products creates jobs and income, and thus important for the socio-economic development in Ghana. Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) contribute up to 70 per cent towards Ghana’s economic output. However, only a minor percentage of the agricultural and natural products are further processed in the country itself. Many agribusiness enterprises need support to become more competitive and improve their supply chain management. Moreover, they often lack access to financial resources and crucial investments, innovative technologies, and digitalisation. Women entrepreneurs in particular need advice to prevail in a still male-dominated market. Objective The conditions for creating productive employment in micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the agribusiness sector, especially for young people and women, are improved. |
