| Project Detail | Environmentally sound disposal and recycling of e-waste in Ghana In Ghana, a growing population and greater prosperity are increasing the demand for household and consumer electronics. This is driving an increase in electronic waste. Besides recyclable materials, this waste also contain pollutants that are harmful to health and the environment if not managed properly. Ghana has recognised the challenge and has been developing a legislative framework for this since 2016. Objective The Ghanaian Government successfully implements a system for managing unwanted electrical and electronic items that is environmentally sound and socially responsible. |
