Germany Project Notice - Involving The Private Sector In Promoting Recovery

Project Notice

PNR 67447
Project Name Involving the private sector in promoting recovery
Project Detail Promoting Ukraine’s Sustainable Economic Recovery Russia’s attacks on Ukraine are inflicting extraordinary damage and losses on the Ukrainian population, economy, environment and infrastructure. While there are currently no indications of an end to the war or a reduction in the intensity of the conflict, the international community is supporting the Ukrainian Government in its efforts to initiate recovery without delay. The focus is on repairing immediate war damage and on maintaining infrastructure and the energy supply to promote economic and social stability. In the course of recovery, Ukraine aims to establish a resilient energy supply and to set the course for long-term stability in an environmentally sustainable economy, adopting the principles of ‘build back better’ and a ‘green and digital recovery’. Objective The private sector is involved in the environmentally sustainable recovery of Ukraine. Approach The project provides strategic and technical support to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and other actors involved in recovery. It identifies and harnesses synergies effectively between existing and planned recovery initiatives. The project’s approach is based on two components: providing strategic advice through technical support, studies and knowledge management; facilitating exchange and networking through events, public relations work, cooperation formats and the use of synergies.
