the project road runs through two counties namely, Bong and Lofa. Bong county is situated in North-Easten direction to Monrovia, whereas Lofa is also placed in North east of monrovia but is acutely paced compared to Bong. Both of these counties have international borders with the Republic of Guinea and Lofa share one more international boundary with the Republic of Sierra Leone on its west. The Project road transvrses through four (4) districtss namely; Jorquelleh, Zota of Bong county and Salayea, Zorzor of Lofa County. The The towns along the road corridor accommodate several activies, including agriculture, reduction of poverty at the household level. Objectives The project aims to achieve the Governments vision to contribute to the economic and social development in Liberia in the framework of its program to generally develop the transport sector, and particularly the development and expansion and integration of the roads network. The project targets to reduce the cost of transport and mobility in general, and to achieve security and safety on the road as well as to raise the standard of living of the population in Bong and Lofa counties |
