Location: Poland Project number: 55160 Business sector: Property and tourism Notice type: Private Approval date: 24 Jul 2024 Status: Exploratory PSD disclosed: 20 Jun 2024 Project Description A senior loan of up to EUR 53.3 million to be provided as part of a total financing package of up to EUR 160 million alongside a consortium of commercial banks in favour of Polish subsidiaries (the Borrowers), of Heimstaden Bostad AB (Heimstaden or the Sponsor). The proceeds of the EBRD loan will support the development of green-certified residential buildings in Poland and recapitalisation of the Borrowers. Project Objectives The transaction will help alleviate the housing shortage in Poland, which was exacerbated by the war on Ukraine and the inflow of Ukrainian refugees to Poland, by supporting the increase in supply of energy efficient residential buildings. Moreover, the project will introduce social leases which is a novelty for the Polish residential market. |
