The loan will enable the Company to build the first greenfield, privately owned, biofuels project in the Ukrainian energy sector since the beginning of the war. The Project is sponsored by JSC Concern Galnaftogaz and OKKO Group, a leading distributor of transportation fuels in Ukraine. Project Objectives The Project will contribute to Ukraines energy security and energy sector decarbonisation by building a domestic source of fuel supply with 70% lower GHG emissions vs traditional fuel. The biofuel produced as a result of the Project is expected to be compliant with the EU Renewable Energy Directive (RED III). |
