The development objective of the Technical Assistance for Kambarata 1 Hydropower Plant (HPP) Project for Kyrgyz Republic is to assess the Kambarata 1 HPP project’s technical feasibility, enhance its environmental and social sustainability, and strengthen its financial and commercial frameworks. The project comprises of four components. The first component is updating previous studies to verify the technical feasibility and economic viability. The second component is strengthening the environmental and social framework (ESF) and benefit-sharing aspect of Kambarata 1 HPP. The third component is developing a macroeconomically sustainable financing plan and a commercial framework. The fourth component is project implementation support and capacity building. To assess the Kambarata 1 hydropower plant project’s technical feasibility, enhance its environmental and social sustainability, and strengthen its financial and commercial frameworks. |
