| Project Detail |
The Programme for Country Partnership (PCP) for Cambodia will support the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) in the implementation of its national Industrial Development Policy (IDP) and more general in the implementation of its national strategy for inclusive and sustainable growth and sustainable development (Agenda 2030) with the dimensions of social, economic and environmental sustainability. The country faces a lack of timely and internationally comparable statistical data to facilitate evidence-based policy decisions, and to monitor the contribution of development interventions by local government and private sector as well as international development partners and programmes, including the PCP to the achievement of their national development goals, mainly the IDP and towards SDG targets. The project aims at facilitating to establish a framework for key and relevant statistics and indicators that would serve informed policy decision making and can monitor the impact of development efforts and in particular the PCP and the IDP in priority to SDG Goal 9, and other SDGs including other areas related to poverty reduction, industrialization and economic development, environmental protection, and development sustainability. More specifically on topics including employment, skills, income, water, energy, manufacturing, services (like tourism), responsible production and wastes, climate change mitigation, selected value chains like fisheries and other agro-value chains, industrial diversification, access to finance and IT services, and gender empowerment. |
