Project Name I-5/I-205 - Concrete Panel Replacement and Joint Rehabilitation
Project Detail In summer 2022 and 2023, WSDOTs contractor, Granite Construction, will work to replace roughly 100 concrete panels along both directions of I-205 between the Glenn Jackson Bridge near the SR 14 interchange and the I-5/I-205 split and along southbound I-5 between Northeast 179th Street and the I-5/I-205 split. Several of the existing concrete panels are cracked, broken and not seated properly, causing an uneven driving surface. If theyre not repaired and/or replaced, it can cause further deterioration to both interstates.
