Project number CA-3-P011375001 Maximum contribution $750,000 Partner profile UNDP - United Nations Development Programme (XM-DAC-41114) Start - end 2022-11-18 - 2025-08-30 Status Operational This project aims to build the Government of Laos’ capacity to undertake demining operations, thereby supporting efforts for the country to accede to the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention. Project activities include: (1) delivering mine detection and removal equipment and personal protective equipment to Lao National Regulatory Authority (NRA) staff to undertake quality management; (2) training the Lao NRA quality management teams on quality assurance assessments for landmine clearance; (3) supporting the Lao NRA to ensure the Lao National Standards on mine action align with International Mine Action Standards; and (4) guiding the Lao National Unexploded Ordnance Programme and Humanity and Inclusion demining activities. |
