The starch production process requires thermal and electrical energy for drying process. The purpose of proposed project activity is to have biomass based thermal energy generation to meet the thermal energy requirement and biogas based power generation in gas engines, where biogas is captured from wastewater treatment generated during fermentation process to improve overall energy efficiency of the manufacturing facility. The project activity utilises the renewable resources to generate steam and electricity for captive consumption, thereby avoiding the use of non-renewable energy resources such as coal and fossil fuel based grid electricity.
