AFD is supporting a public ESCO created in 2009 by the Indian government, Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), to promote the financing and implementation of energy efficiency projects for public entities, including municipalities, as a priority. in the fields of lighting and public buildings.
AFD funding has already enabled the municipality of Jodhpur to replace its traditional bulbs with 45,000 LED bulbs, enabling a 55% reduction in electricity consumption.
AFD is also committed to sharing experiences between France and India, notably through the organization of a study trip to France for EESL employees and senior Indian officials. |
