Work Detail LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 modules, Hi-MO 9 and Hi-MO X10, have successfully passed TÜV SÜD’s PID-p (Potential Induced Degradation-Polarization) testing in accordance with PPP 58234A:2025 and IEC TS 62804-1 Ed2 (DTS) standards. Thus, LONGi becomes the first company to be awarded the TÜV SÜD PID-p certificate. Addressing a Critical Industry Challenge PID-p (Potential Induced Degradation – Polarization) is a major challenge in the photovoltaic industry. This phenomenon occurs when the electric field generated by system voltage causes charge accumulation in the passivation layer of silicon solar cells, leading to power degradation. Compared to traditional PID-s (Potential Induced Shunting), PID-p progresses faster but allows performance recovery through light exposure—particularly ultraviolet radiation. This mechanism has obtained several international authorities’ attention, such as IEC and NREL. Certification Excellence The test procedure comprehensively considers factors including voltage stress, temperature, and irradiation to ensure the results more reliably validate the modules’ anti- PID-p performance in real-world operating conditions. As a global solar technology leader, LONGi’s HPBC2.0 modules, Hi-MO 9 and Hi-MO X10, demonstrated exceptional high efficiency and reliability throughout the IEC TS 62804-1 Ed2 (DTS) compliance tests. TÜV SÜD evaluators confirmed the modules’ industry-leading anti-PID-p performance, underscoring LONGi’s technological prowess in mitigating polarization induced power losses. Both Hi-MO 9 and Hi-MO X10 modules have successfully passed TÜV SÜD’s PID-p test, demonstrating LONGi ‘s leadership in anti-PID technology as well as its continuous commitment to advancing global technical standards through R&D. Moving forward, LONGi will continue collaborating with globally renowned third-party institutions like TÜV SÜD to safeguard the high-quality development of the photovoltaic industry, accelerating global deep decarbonization and advancing toward a more sustainable future.
