SolMicroGrid, a provider of microgrid solutions for the commercial and industrial sector, has launched its new “Array to Microgrid” program. This offering allows property owners with existing solar systems to sell those assets for immediate cash while upgrading their facilities to fully managed and resilient microgrids. The program is aimed at businesses in sectors such as retail, industrial, commercial, and real estate that want to simplify their energy operations, increase reliability, and move away from owning and maintaining solar infrastructure. SolMicroGrid takes over the existing solar arrays and upgrades them with technologies such as battery storage, backup generators, and smart energy controls, creating a more advanced and efficient system tailored to each site. This initiative is built on SolMicroGrid’s Energy-as-a-Service model, where customers enter into a long-term service agreement rather than purchasing and maintaining energy assets themselves. This approach removes the need for upfront capital investment and shifts maintenance and operational responsibilities to SolMicroGrid. Customers benefit from consistent energy costs, enhanced power reliability, and sustainability improvements.
