Work Detail The International Solar Alliance (ISA) competition is open until July 31st for entrepreneurs and startups to present scalable solar energy proposals, with access to financing, mentorship, and international networks. The International Solar Alliance (ISA) has announced the official launch of the SolarX 2025 Startup Challenge: Latin America and the Caribbean Edition , an initiative that seeks to identify and reward the most innovative and scalable solutions to drive the adoption of solar energy in the region. The challenge, which opens today through July 31, invites startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators to present their projects and opt for a 10-month acceleration program, as well as financial support and access to a network of industry experts. The SolarX 2025 Challenge is presented as a platform for startups from Latin America and the Caribbean to present their proposals to investors and key players in the solar industry. The winners will receive a year of acceleration, including technical assistance, mentoring, and the opportunity to showcase their innovations at international events. ISA, in collaboration with Invest India and other partner organizations, seeks to foster the development of sustainable business models and facilitate market access for the selected solutions. The regional edition of SolarX is inspired by the success of previous editions in Africa and Asia-Pacific, where the initiative has served to discover and promote ventures with impact in the solar sector. ISA emphasizes the need to address the political, regulatory, and financing barriers faced by solar projects in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as the importance of strengthening the technical and business capabilities of participants. According to ISA CEO Ashish Khanna, the region has great potential for solar energy development, and the challenge seeks to close gaps in financing, private sector participation, and skills acquisition. Furthermore, the 2025 edition places special emphasis on recognizing the leadership of women entrepreneurs and promoting diversity within the solar innovation ecosystem. The acceleration program will provide the winners with financial support, technical assistance, and connections with industry experts, as well as exposure to potential investors. Selected projects may range from distributed generation and storage to agricultural applications and energy efficiency solutions, aiming to address the regions specific energy needs. The International Solar Alliance, with 123 member and signatory countries, declares its mission to mobilize investment in solar energy, reduce technology costs, and promote the adoption of solar energy in key sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, transportation, and power generation.
