Company to fabricate structural steel for LanWin2, BalWin3 and LanWin4 projects UAE steel fabricator Eversendai Offshore has landed a grid connection deal in Germany. The company has inked a deal with Dragados Offshore in Spain for the fabrication of structural steel for the offshore converter blocks (topside) for the LanWin2, BalWin3 and LanWin4 offshore grid connection projects in Germany. The scope of work includes engineering, material procurement, fabrication and assembly of panels and blocks, painting and loadout. The offshore grid connection systems LanWin2, BalWin3 and LanWin4 are part of TenneT’s 2GW programme, which aims to help Germany, the Netherlands and Europe achieve ambitious climate targets and develop the North Sea as Europe’s “green power plant”. The blocks will be produced at Eversendai Offshore’s fabrication facility in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The waterfront fabrication facility, built on a 200,000 square metre site with 550 metres of quayside, is designed for large, heavy, and modular construction. Eversendai has committed to execute the project and deliver the blocks for the three topsides by December 2027. |
