The National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ENRE) has authorized access to the electricity transmission capacity for the incorporation of the Genneia project into the Argentine Interconnection System, as requested by TRANSBA SA (Electric Energy Transporter of the Province of Buenos Aires SA). The National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ENRE) of Argentina, through Note No. 51949728/2025, approved the application submitted by Transportadora de Energía Eléctrica de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (TRANSBA) at the request of the company Genneia to connect the 20 MW Lincoln I photovoltaic park to the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI). The connection will be made to the 33 kV busbars of the Lincoln Transformer Station, located in the Buenos Aires province of the same name. The authorization was granted after the expiration of the observation and objection period stipulated by Resolution No. 296/2025, and the companies involved must comply with the established technical requirements. The project, developed by Genneia, is located 5.5 kilometers northeast of the city of Lincoln, Buenos Aires province, on a 46-hectare site. It has a nominal capacity of 20 MW at the interconnection point and 23.2 MWp of installed capacity under standard conditions (STC). The plant will be connected to the SADI (National Electricity and Water Supply System) through the Lincoln Transformer Station, under the jurisdiction of TRANSBA, and will contribute to the national electricity supply. Last March, the Ministry of Energy authorized Genneia to operate as a generating agent for the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM) for this park through Resolution 122/2025. Lincoln I park incorporates solar modules with a power output of up to 680 Wp and 76 Huawei SUN2000-330KTL-H1 inverters, in accordance with the Environmental and Social Impact Study approved in 2023. The energy company recently inaugurated the Malargüe I solar park in Mendoza, with a capacity of 90 MW , and is advancing the development of other projects such as Anchoris (180 MW) and San Rafael (150 MW) in the same province. Additionally, in San Juan, it is developing the San Juan Sur solar park (130 MW) , which will increase Genneias installed solar capacity in the province to 350 MW. The company has surpassed 1,250 MW of installed renewable capacity, with a 19% share of national renewable energy. It operates ten renewable energy farms—seven wind farms and three solar farms—and its investment plan for the 2022-2026 period calls for 1,584 MW of installed capacity, with projects in Buenos Aires, San Juan, and Mendoza. In recent years, Genneia has secured international financing, such as a $100 million syndicated loan with FMO, FinDev Canada, and Proparco for the construction of solar projects in Mendoza . The company has also been notable for its green bond issuance and participation in the Renewable Energy Term Market (MATER), through which it supplies large industrial users. |
