The Santa Fe government is moving forward with its housing solutions plan for small towns in the interior of the country and has put out to tender the construction of 13 homes with complete infrastructure in Zenón Pereyra, Castellanos department. With an official budget of $933,258,088.48 and an eight-month construction period, the project was very well received by the sector, with nine economic bids submitted. The project includes the construction of 12 compact homes, each measuring 61.73 m², with two bedrooms, a kitchen-dining room, a bathroom, a laundry room, and a garage, and a 71.13 m² home adapted for people with disabilities. All units will be built to the standards defined by the Provincial Directorate of Housing and Urban Planning (DPVyU). In addition to the housing, the tender includes the basic and complementary infrastructure works necessary to guarantee adequate living conditions. This includes the installation of gas, electricity, drinking water, sewage, and stormwater services, as well as the construction of sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, LED street lighting, tree planting, and public green spaces. The provincial director of Habitat Intervention, Ramsés Medina, highlighted the high participation of companies as a sign of confidence in the bidding processes and the predictability of official budgets. For her part, the municipal president, Verónica Gallo, emphasized that the project is not just another one, but a concrete response for 13 families who are seeing a life project become a reality. This project is part of a provincial strategy to guarantee access to decent housing in medium- and low-income communities, contributing to territorial equity and strengthening communities in the Santa Fe countryside.
